WEEK 4: MONEY

THIS WEEK WE WORKED ON SOLIDIFYING OUR IDEAS AND LOOKING AT COSTING. WE NEEDED TO PIN DOWN EVERYTHING THAT WE KNEW WE WANTED TO DO AND START TO LOOK AT THE LOGISTICS AND HOW WE COULD ACTUAL GET TO THESE REALISATIONS.

WE DECIDED THAT WE WOULD FOCUS ON CREATING A STORE INSPIRED BY THE DEPARTMENT STORE BRINGING THE CONSUMER PHYSICAL EXPERIENCES AS WELL AS A SHOPPING EXPERIENCE COVERING ALL OF THE CONSUMERS NEEDS (ACCORDING TO MASLOWS HIERACHY OF NEEDS. THIS WAY THERE WOULD BE MORE SPACE FOR PEOPLE TO EXPLORE AND THE PRODUCTS WOULD BE SPREAD OUT INTO CATAGORIES MAKING IT EASIER FOR THE CONSUMER TO FIND. WE ALSO WANT TO BREAK DOWN THE WALL BETWEEN THE CONSUMER AND THE BRAND AS WE FEEL LIKE GIVENCHY KEEPS ITSELVES VERY SEGREGATED ESPECIALLY ON DIGITAL PLATFORMS.

WE WANT TO HAVE MORE OF A SOCIAL MEDIA PRESENCE AND BECOME MORE DIGITAL. WE SPOKE ABOUT HAVING AN APP WITH AN APPMAP OF THE STORE TO HELP PEOPLE NAVIGATE THROUGH THE BUILDING. WE WILL ALSO HAVE HOLOGRAMS THROUGHOUT THE STORE TO GIVE PEOPLE DIRECTIONS ON WHERE TO FIND THINGS AND ALSO GIVE THEM TIPS ON WHATS NEW AND OUR BEST SELLERS.

WE ALSO STARTED TO CREATE A SYNOPSIS TO SUMMARISE WHAT OUT INTENTIONS WERE WITH THE BRAND. WE STARTED THE WEEK OF WITH 7 MEMBERS OF THE GROUP BUT WE NOW ONLY HAVE 6 SO WE DECIDED TO REWRITE THE SYNOPSIS AS WE WASN’T THAT HAPPY WITH WHAT WAS ORIGINALLY WRITTEN. I DECIDED TO RE WRITE IT AND BRAND IT TO MAKE IT SEEM MORE PROFESSIONAL.

WE HAVE DECIDED THAT WE ARE GOING TO MEET TO DISCUSS HOW FAR ALONG WE HAVE COME AND WHAT IS LEFT TO DO AND WE HAVE ALL BEEN LOOKING INTO WHAT WE ARE GOING TO NEED TO COST FOR AND HAVE MADE A LIST OF EVERYTHING WE NEED TO RESEARCH AND LOOK INTO.
